Sticking with the theme of back to school, it’s that time of year again. If you have a college student, don’t forget the Three Documents They Forgot to Mention at Freshman Orientation. We are getting ours in order this month as our oldest heads off to Georgia Tech. Good luck to all returning students and parents!
What do Prince and Aretha Franklin have in common? They were both tremendous artists who created decades of outstanding music and had adoring fans around the world.
They both also died without any basic estate planning documents, even a basic will. Hundreds of millions of dollars in lifetime earnings, immensely complicated estates with income streams from royalties as far as the eye can see, and no legal documents to determine how it should be handled.
Folks, it’s not that hard to create simple estate planning documents. Visit your local attorney, try a legitimate legal advice web site, or contact us for a list of local contacts. But please, do something!
After five years of living with builder beige walls and carpet, we updated our office to a more modern look. We now have builder grey walls and carpet as well as some very nice dark hardwoods in the foyer and main hallway. Unfortunately, we were unable to incorporate shiplap or German smear on any surfaces… A few pieces of artwork were swapped for newer pieces that better match the new look. Coming soon – new interior signage. Feel free to stop by and check out the new look.
Tired of our www.freedomwealthpartners.com website? So are we. A new version is in the works and should debut this fall. Stand by for a fresh look and more original content.
